Rhythmic Identity is a 9 minute portrait of the capoerista Kinga Makowska aka Pitchula. Pitchula is a teacher and she has been practicing for 14 years. Born in Poland, Pitchula came to London and started training and teaching at the Somerstown Capoiera Academy. In our interview with her she recalls her memories of Capoiera from when she was 15 years old with her nephew – choosing between church or capoeira class – she says it was easy for her to decide.
